With over sixteen years of experience as a regulatory inspector for the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission and PHMSA's Central Region Office of Pipeline Safety, Nathan Solem uses industry specific skills and guidance to ensure pipeline operators meet compliance standards and are prepared for regulatory scrutiny.

Certified by PHMSA for both gas and hazardous liquids, Nathan specializes in corrosion, cathodic protection, public awareness, and distribution integrity management. His background as an independent consultant allows him to provide customized solutions that improve safety measures and help operators efficiently achieve regulatory requirements.
