Joint Use and Pole Attachments for Electric Cooperatives and Municipalities

March 12 - 13, 2025 Online :: Central Time

“Very informative and very helpful information.”

Director OSP – FTTx, unWired Broadband

In the fast-paced world of 5G small cell deployment and fiber-to-the-home expansion, universal broadband access has become essential for educational institutions, healthcare providers, and remote workers. Consequently, telecom companies, electric utilities, and government entities at all levels have invested significantly in broadband infrastructure. Electric cooperatives and municipalities also play a crucial role as pole owners and attachers in this dynamic environment.

The Joint Use and Pole Attachments for Electric Cooperatives and Municipalities course will cover a broad range of topics:

  • Understanding the terms and conditions of pole attachment agreements
  • Managing interruptions in the attachment process
  • Ensuring consistency in 3rd party attacher application across the organization
  • Implementing new or updated agreements where feasible

This course, led by Josh Good, a Joint Use Supervisor at an Electric Cooperative with over a decade of experience in negotiating Joint Use agreements and managing fiber projects, will teach participants the essential skills needed to succeed amid the anticipated surge in pole attachment activities.
