The Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC) has announced that customers will see a rate increase on their bills starting on June 12.
This comes after the CVEC filed a streamlines rate case with the Virginia State Corporation Commission on May 13. The company requested to increase the base electric rates by 4.54%. This will raise residential bills by about $8.48 a month.
