“The level of expertise and knowledge displayed is top notch. Great place to gain a thorough overview of what Asset Management is all about.”
– Warehouse Supervisor, IEUA“The Asset Management for Water Utilities instructional course is a very good grounding for persons starting on their asset management journey, it can assist in giving an organization common ground amongst colleagues so that all can speak the same language.”
– Asset Manager, Clark County Water Reclamation District“It’s a firehose of information but all great information that I’ll still be absorbing over the next few weeks. I have a lot of ideas for how to improve our Asset Management activities for years to come.”
– Director, Planning & Resource Management, Union County“This course exceeded my expectations. It helped to get me thinking about how to setup the broader, more strategic pieces of our asset management program as well as how to connect strategy with operations. I highly recommend this course for anyone who is interested in asset management or who is responsible for asset management planning in their organization.”
– Senior Business Process Analyst, City of GarlandAsset management for water utilities involves a structured application of tools and techniques to maintain performance and ensure reliability over the long term, requiring coordinated expertise across finance, operations, risk, and engineering. Neglecting proper asset management can lead to reduced system reliability, higher operational costs, regulatory compliance issues, and unplanned service disruptions.
The Technical Asset Management for Water Utilities course emphasizes the specialized skills and tangible tools asset managers need to thrive in today's complex environments. In addition to high-level strategy, we also focus on practical skills and real-world applications, providing hands-on experience in areas like risk analysis, lifecycle management, and condition assessment.
The agenda is organized into 10 modules with 15 applied exercises, offering participants opportunities to apply concepts through scenario-based activities and data-driven problem solving. Upon completion, the course will equip you with a suite of tools and techniques to make data-driven decisions and implement asset improvements. Walk away with actionable knowledge to optimize utility performance and enhance asset longevity.
