On-Demand Training:
Advanced Insurance and Solutions for Renewables

Recorded: April 21, 2026

Print

Insurance is embedded in every stage of a renewable energy project including Project Finance, Risk Management, PPAs, Tolling Agreements, Construction and Asset Ownership. As energy production needs and costs continue to rise and renewable deployment accelerates, understanding the full range of insurance solutions available to project stakeholders has become increasingly important.

This advanced course will provide a detailed look at both conventional and lesser-known insurance products, how they function, and where they apply across the project lifecycle. Attendees will learn how to evaluate policies and contracts from an insurance perspective, gain insight into how underwriters assess renewable risks, and develop a more granular understanding of the tools available to mitigate exposure and strengthen project outcomes.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify insurance products and risk-transfer techniques used in the renewable energy industry
  • Analyze contracts from an insurance perspective, highlighting key provisions and aligning coverage with project requirements
  • Evaluate construction and operational insurance policies for adequacy, exclusions, and potential coverage gaps
  • Interpret how underwriters assess renewable energy project risks and apply this insight to project decision-making
