Attendees will learn about the key elements of power supply systems, including load requirements, planning reserves, generation types, and portfolio development, as well as factors that influence power supply planning, such as the regulatory landscape, markets and market-based resources, resource costs and operating characteristics, weather and environmental factors, and technological advancements. This course will be most beneficial in supporting attendee efforts at the strategic, rather than modeling, level.

Your registration may be transferred to a member of your organization up to 24 hours in advance of the event. Cancellations must be received on or before September 25, 2026 in order to be refunded and will be subject to a US $195.00 processing fee per registrant. No refunds will be made after this date. Cancellations received after this date will create a credit of the tuition (less processing fee) good toward any other EUCI event. This credit will be good for six months from the cancellation date. In the event of non-attendance, all registration fees will be forfeited. In case of conference cancellation, EUCIs liability is limited to refund of the event registration fee only. Mr. Haemig is an energy economics practitioner with 19 years of power industry experience and 6 in consulting. His specialties include integrated resource planning, market risk analysis, RTO operations and integration, wholesale product contracting and procurement, and PPA negotiation. Emphases are on storage ESSA and renewables RFP, RTO resource adequacy, and strategic planning. His experience allows resource plans to be implemented via procurement, operations, and regulatory support. He holds an M.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a B.A. in Mathematics from St. Olaf College, and attended the London School of Economics.
