Whether due to regulatory mandates, constraints on procuring traditional solutions, renewable portfolio and decarbonization goals, or other policy directives, electric utilities are investigating Non-Wire Alternatives (NWA). Evaluating and comparing NWA to traditional solutions require a thorough and consistent analysis framework. West Monroe’s NWA Benefits and Costs modeling tool was developed based on the New York Joint Utilities BCA handbook to compare benefits and costs of NWA (individually or as a portfolio) to traditional  solutions. During the demonstration, West Monroe will highlight its NWA BCA capabilities and how it could be used to support NWA projects.
