Aging Infrastructure – The Role of Partners in Future-proofing the Grid

Aging Infrastructure - The Role of Partners in Future-proofing the Grid

December 16, 2021 | , ::

Overview

In looking at today’s grid there are many challenges that lie ahead for utilities. Utility leaders even today are seeing the strain of age on the grid, including:

  • Monitoring bidirectional power
  • The influx of renewable energy
  • Backfeed/harmonic disturbances
  • The reliability of critical loads

As FERC order 2222 opens doors to more DERS to play in the grid, how  will utilities shoulder this new requirement? As the infrastructure around the substations and distribution lines age, the demand for more power is already creating challenges. Register now for this free webinar to learn what steps are being taken to address these issues and how detailed power quality data can help bring clarity to concerns in a cost effective and safe way.
