The rapid growth of offshore wind applications has presented new challenges to wind turbine engineers. This session will provide an overview of current offshore wind technology, and cover some of the challenges facing the growth of offshore wind technology.

The Wood Mackenzie study released in August 2020 determined the U.S. Treasury stands to gain $1.7 billion by 2022 and the nation to achieve another 28 GW if federal lease auctions go forward. The report also found as much as $166 billion could be gained by 2035, along with 80,000 jobs annually. All of this would be dependent on lease auctions proceeding each year through 2022, however. In this session you’ll get a deep dive into the report and the expectations for continued growth of the offshore wind market in the U.S.

This session will discuss how to ensure projects are viable by taking advantage of tax benefit and incentive programs, and how projects can meet needed criteria for debt and equity financing.

Your registration may be transferred to a member of your organization up to 24 hours in advance of the event. Cancellations must be received on or before October 02, 2020 in order to be refunded and will be subject to a US $195.00 processing fee per registrant. No refunds will be made after this date. Cancellations received after this date will create a credit of the tuition (less processing fee) good toward any other EUCI event. This credit will be good for six months from the cancellation date.
