Leadership Essentials: Listening Fully

Leadership Essentials: Listening Fully

July 13, 2022 | Online ::

Listening is one of the most important skills one can develop and underpins most all capabilities that support effectiveness in building relationships and coordinating effort with others. The importance of listening in leadership is crucial for personal and team performance.  Authoritarian or judgmental leaders are likely to have employees afraid and unwilling to step up.  When listening is absent it limits the opportunity for people to work together and teams to innovate. Companies that recognize the importance of employee well-being and their contribution to the organization encourage listening.  Listening is a skill that is even more valuable in the post-COVID remote working environment.

In this one-day course we will cover:

  • What is meant by listening as an action of our attention
  • Setting aside our internal dialogue; opinions, past experiences, and conditioned responses
  • Noticing what is said as well as what is not said
  • Listening as a discipline of both participants of a conversation
  • Practical approaches to sharpening our listening skills and leveraging it as a tool in building effectiveness

Register now to strengthen your skills as a speaker and leader through honing your skills in listening.
