Asset Management for Water Utilities, March 10-11, 2021
A management system is the collection of all the policies and procedures that are used by an organization to ensure that it can achieve its objectives. This one day course take a visual journey through the sequence of steps that are required to capture the structure and scope of an existing water and/or wastewater asset management system, identify “gaps”, and develop a roadmap for alignment to the requirements of ISO 55000 (the international standard for asset management).
The course includes real-world examples from several organizations including public and private water systems, wastewater utilities and government and municipal water organizations. The participants will conduct a series of practical exercises to demonstrate how the various gap analysis tools and road mapping techniques can be applied to their organization or their department within the organization. The lessons in this course can be applied to a single department (or business unit) within an organization or to the corporate enterprise as a whole.
