Overview

This training program is designed for engineers looking to effectively manage a construction project.  The training will cover the following topics with emphases on infrastructure projects:  contracts, bidding, financing, code compliance, project planning, scheduling, project control, communication, safety, quality, litigation and potential environmental issues. 

The contracts, bidding, and code compliance portion will focus on pre-construction activities.  The project planning, scheduling, control, and communication will focus on the construction phase.  Safety, quality, and environmental will be addressed in general terms for infrastructure projects. 

The course is designed for individuals with limited knowledge of the actual project management process for projects.  The course material will be a useful resource for future reference. The program will be interactive in nature and utilize case studies and small group exercises.

EUCI has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).  In obtaining this accreditation, EUCI has demonstrated that it  complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is recognized internationally as a standard of good practice. As a result of their Authorized Provider status, EUCI is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.

EUCI is authorized by IACET to offer 1.0 CEUs for this event.

 

Requirements for Successful Completion of Program

Participants must sign in/out each day, be in attendance for the entirety of the course, and complete the course assessment with a 70% or higher to be eligible for continuing education credit.

Kristy Wolfe, Professor, Bradley University

Professor Kristy Wolfe has been an Assistant Professor at Bradley University since January 2008.  Professor Wolfe has her Bachelor of Science in Construction from Bradley University and her Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla.  Professor Wolfe brings a unique set of skills to the world of academia with the field experience she gained as a facilities engineer with Caterpillar along with her time serving with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.  She currently serves as the faculty advisory for Bradley’s Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and Habitat for Humanity.  Her research interests include green construction, productivity method improvement, leadership development, workforce dynamics, and ethics in engineering education.

Cancellation Policy

Your registration may be transferred to a member of your organization up to 24 hours in advance of the event. Cancellations must be received on or before February 15, 2019 in order to be refunded and will be subject to a US $195.00 processing fee per registrant. No refunds will be made after this date. Cancellations received after this date will create a credit of the tuition (less processing fee) good toward any other EUCI event. This credit will be good for six months from the cancellation date. In the event of non-attendance, all registration fees will be forfeited. In case of conference cancellation, EUCIs liability is limited to refund of the event registration fee only.
