Colorado’s Drake Power Plant to Shut for Good After 100 Years: ‘Milestone’

A Colorado power station that has operated for almost 100 years shut down for good on Thursday as part of a clean energy transition.
The coal-fired Drake Power Station, located in the city of Colorado Springs, has supplied residents with energy since it was built in 1925.
