Methane And Biogas For Livestock/AG/Food/Industrial Operations: What’s Involved, When Does It Make Sense & What Are the Opportunities?

December 9-10, 2009
Denver, CO

colorDownload A PDF Brochure

This program will provide a comprehensive treatment of practical and technical information for the capture and conversion of biogas (methane) into usable energy, with emphasis on the most appropriate applications for livestock, agricultural, food processing and industrial operations. The emphasis on renewable energy at the state and national levels, plus the incentives provided in the recent passage of the stimulus act and energy legislation, make methane and biogas development projects more feasible than in the past.

The conference will provide a "one-stop shop" so that Ag, livestock, industrial, and food processing support organizations can advise their members and constituents on how they can take advantage of these favorable market developments, and what's necessary to convert this promise into reality.

Reference materials and contact information will be available in an easily accessible format - no guesswork on where to go for answers for the following issues:

  • Define biogas's role as part of the renewable energy answer
  • Review the technology
  • Examine the practicality for livestock, agricultural, food processing, and industrial applications
  • Demonstrate the economic feasibility under different scenarios
  • Relate how to connect into the power system
