Increasing solar energy development has become a focus on a local, state, and even national level as the push for a new green economy reaches almost fever pitch; however, financing and developing photovoltaic projects remains challenging on a number of levels. Utilities and policy makers are responding to existing and potential new legislation, as well as the public demand for new rebates and incentive programs to accommodate residential and commercial photovoltaic (PV) development.
Though the desert southwest normally receives most of the attention regarding solar development because of their great solar resources, the eastern half to the U.S. is also making a notable push to increase PV projects in their area. This conference is designed to discuss many of the innovative financing options currently being utilized for development. Additionally, it will outline some of the major policies incentivizing PV development on a residential, commercial, and utility scale level in the Eastern U.S. Finally, it will describe the permitting and development process from a real life perspective.
